Girls Lacrosse Caps Spectacular Season with Repeat Championship

The Jaguars ousted Lebanon High School by a final score of 21-12.

The Windham High School girls lacrosse team again captured a state title on Thursday, ousting Lebanon in the Division III state finals by a score of 21-12.

According to the Union Leader, over 450 people attended the game at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. Windham will be leaving Division III to move up to Division II next season.

WHS was lead by Melissa Cino, who scored four goals and added seven assists, according to the paper.

The Jaguars were up on the no. 5 seed Raiders 10-7 at the half and later split open the game with a second half burst.

Windham lost just two games on the season, finishing the year at 18-2.

Last year, the Jaguars finished the season an undefeated 18-0 as they captured the 2012 state championship.

En route to this year's championship, Windham took out no. 7 seed Hopkinton 19-3 and no. 3 seed Derryfield School 16-7.
