Giuliani to Campaign for Kevin Smith in NH

The former mayor of New York City recently endorsed Smith.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is headed to New Hampshire this August to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith.

Giuliani's appearance was announced by Smith during an appearance tonight at Rockingham Park racetrack in Salem.

Smith told Windham Patch that specific dates have not been confirmed.

Giuliani endorsed Smith on June 20, praising the candidate's plan for improving the business climate in New Hampshire.

Smith talked about the endorsement with the Salem crowd, saying that his business plan is a lot like what Giuliani did in New York City, and that attracted the former mayor's support.

Smith has outlined his strategy during several candidate appearances, which includes striking taxes on business owners who are not yet turning a profit and lowering both the Business Profits Tax and Business Enterprise Tax.
