Is this Intersection on Route 111 an Accident Waiting to Happen?

This week the Windham Planning Board discussed strategies for the traffic light at the intersection of Routes 111 and 111A.

Current plans are for the state to remove the traffic light, which has been heavily disputed by some local businesses in the area.

Planners also discussed a safety component that needs to be looked at, especially if the former Applewood Golf Links property is developed.

Check out the video above to see cars travel around a blind curve at the intersection created by a stone wall next to the Convenient MD plaza.

Do you think the blind curve at the crossing needs to be addressed in future plans for the intersection? If so, what could fix the problem?
