Judge Delays Decision on Conflict of Interest
A temporary injunction on the ordinance remains in place.

A temporary injunction will remain in place for at least three to four more weeks on Windham's conflict of interest ordinance, according to Town Administrator Dave Sullivan.
A decision on a motion to dismiss the ordinance, also known as the recently adopted Articles 18 and 19, was postponed in Rockingham Superior Court on Wednesday morning.
According to Sullivan, Judge Kenneth McCune has been in Strafford County all summer and is just returning to Rockingham.

Since he was away from the county, McCune just saw the motion to dismiss the ordinance on Monday. Sullivan said that he took the motion under advisement, and will let the town know of his decision.
McCune did not specify a date that a decision will be made, but Sullivan said that neither he nor other town officials will have to return to court.

Should the motion to dismiss be denied, McCune will schedule a hearing for an unspecified later date.
The town has bounced around the courts after Windham Selectmen voted 3-2 on March 26 to seek court interpretation on the articles.
Windham resident Marc Sneider was instrumental in drafting the articles, which both passed overwhelmingly at Town Meeting.
