Kidnapping Trial Postponed as Defense Needs Time

A Massachusetts man charged with kidnapping a Windham woman in April will see his trial delayed as the defense needs more time, according to the Union Leader.
According to the report, the defense for Luis Carvalho, 32, of Fourth Street in Taunton, Mass was recently provided with additional police reports, search warrants and information on one of the guns used in the incident. The trial was originally scheduled for next week.
The report also explains that two other suspects in the case remain at large.

Carvalho is being charged with kidnapping, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm and false imprisonment.
He entered the home around 12:30 a.m. with the other men. According to the woman, the suspects came into the house and struggled with her before tying her up.

The woman was otherwise unharmed in the incident.
While Carvalho and the other men were banging on the door, the woman notified police with a 911 call.
