Letter to the Editor: Parking at Windham High

Why walk farther than you paid for?

To the Editor:

Assigned parking spots at Windham High School sounds like a good and organized idea at first. But it also opens up the flaw for people taking other's spot.

That may sound like a small bother but when it is a never-ending winter with a temperature of 20 degrees out plus wind chill, the walk to the school differs greatly from one spot to another. You may have a great, front row spot, but be careful because if you are a little late, someone will already be in your spot.

Students pay for their parking spots at the beginning of the year. Now that it is cold out, the issue of spots being taken is bigger than ever. Just because you don't want to walk very far does not give you the right to take someone's spot and just because someone took your parking spot, does not mean you take someone else's.

Moral of the story, park in your own spot.
