Lightning and Fires and Outages, Oh My!

1. Crazy weather. Lightning, heavy rains and scattered flash flooding plagued southern New Hampshire Thursday. While a lightning strike is suspected of causing a fire that left a Windham home uninhabitable and forced three firefighters to be treated at the scene, there were also other similar instances and hundreds of power outages in nearby communities. There was also another residential fire reported in Windham late Thursday night.

2. The sun will come out ... today! After some more showers in the morning, the afternoon is likely to clear up as today's forecast calls for a 30-percent chance of rain with a forecasted high of 71 degrees and an overnight low of 52 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
