Man Sentenced for Hitting Windham Officer With Car

The Eagle Tribune reported the news today.

A man charged with hitting a Windham officer with a car while fleeing a bank robbery was sentenced to serve 10 1/2 to 21 years in prison, according to the Eagle Tribune.

According to the report, Clint Pickering, the man charged in the crime, told the judge that he didn't know his friend was going to rob the Bank of New England in Windham when he pulled into the parking lot. Pickering struck Officer Jason Dzierlatka, who according to the paper returned to the police force in May after missing over 2 1/2 years since the Sept. 18, 2009 incident.
