Moeckel Pond Project Passes First Step

The Union Leader reported yesterday that Windham's Zoning Board of Adjustment passed varianced required to subdivide the property around the Moeckel Pond dam in town.

The paper reported that Joseph Maynard of Benchmark Engineering spoke on behalf of the Friends of Moeckel Pond, telling the board that the land will be subdivided into three lots. The dam is located on one lot and will be restored, while another lot may be purchased by an abutter. The third lot will be used as conservation land.
