WINDHAM, NH — A New Hampshire man was arrested July 4 after police said he was clocked at 107 mph on Interstate 93 in Windham. Daniel Beauchesne, 23, of Derry, was charged with reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said he was driving with two boys under the age of 18.

A state trooper traveling southbound on I-93 at about 1:30 p.m. saw Beauchesne driving a gray Nissan Altima at an "extremely high rate of speed, while passing other vehicles," New Hampshire State Police Lieutenant Bryan Trask said in a statement. He was clocked at 107 mph; the speed limit in that area is 65 mph.

"There was another vehicle that was traveling (directly) behind Beauchesne’s vehicle at a similar speed and they appeared to be racing," Trask added.
