NHDOT Unveils 'Prepay a NH Trip'
Here are five things you need to know in Windham today.

1. Prepay for vaca. It's now possible for motorists who are not E-ZPass customers and do not have transponders to utilize the benefits of E-ZPass on the New Hampshire Turnpike System. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a new E-ZPass account option that allows travelers to “Prepay a NH Trip” and use dedicated E-ZPass lanes and Open Road Tolling (ORT) lanes. Under this option, payments are made in advance of a trip on New Hampshire turnpikes by establishing a prepaid account and registering a license plate. Images of the license plate traveling through the dedicated E-ZPass lane or ORT lane will be matched to the account and the toll will be automatically deducted from the prepaid account balance. - Prepaid trips are not discounted. Tolls will be charged at the full fare.
- An account must be opened with a minimum balance of $1.00.
- Multiple vehicles may be registered on an account.
- There is no limit to the number of trips that can be prepaid.
- Accounts can be automatically replenished by credit card.
