Outstanding women in the greater Salem area are being sought.

The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 'Hidden Jewel" award, which honors a local woman each year.
Nominees for the fifth annual award must reside or work in the Greater Salem area, which includes Windham.
According to a release from Windham's Community Development Department, women who have made an outstanding contribution to society or the community, shown dedication to a cause or touched the life of an individual in a significant way are eligible for nomination.
