Obama Security Checks Likely to Cause Heavy Traffic

Both Windham Police and Fire have been working with the Secret Service at WHS.

Windham emergency management officials fully anticipate major traffic backups as a result of this Saturday's visit from President Barack Obama.

According to Deputy Fire Chief William Martineau, security checks of incoming cars will take place at the entrance to Windham High School.

Each check will be about 30 seconds in length, which he expects will force traffic up London Bridge Road and out to Route 111.
