Over 50 People Will Chop Their Locks for Cancer Awareness
Windham High School is set to participate in the fourth annual Hair for Hope event.
Windham High School students and staff are getting prepared to once again chop off their hair to raise money and awareness for cancer patients.
On April 16, the school will be holding the fourth annual Hair for Hope event.
According to WHS Dean of Mathematics Mary Anderson, over 50 men and women will participate in various aspects of the event.

A total of 12 women will donate eight inches of hair as part of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths portion.
Pantene Beautiful Lengths is an organization that donates hair to be made into wigs for people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.

Much like last year, male students will also get involved with the event.
The Buzz for Bucks fundraiser is an event where students and staff shave their head for cancer awareness, while raising money for cancer research.
The event was inspired by the Boston Bruins' Cuts for a Cause event.
Anderson said that over 40 students are prepared to participate in the Buzz for Bucks event.
Helping out at the event will be the Boston Bruins' Ice Girls, Styling Salon of Windham, Continental Hair Academie of Hudson and Lime Light of Hudson.
The event will be held in the gymnasium at 9 a.m, and is also being sponsored by the WHS Junior Class Cancer Awareness Advisory.
