Packed Selectmen Docket Includes Budget Kickoff
The board will meet for the final time before Thanksgiving.

The Board of Selectmen will hold a budget kickoff tonight as part of a hefty agenda just before Thanksgiving.
The initial budget discussion is typically presented by Town Administrator Dave Sullivan, who will present the total proposed budget.
Last year, Sullivan presented a budget of just over $12.7 million, which was eventually trimmed down to just over $12.3 million. That budget was passed by voters in March.

The kick-off presentation will be followed by a series of workshops for various departments, starting with the largest.
A workshop with the school board is also squeezed into the Monday agenda, where a long-awaited discussion on a land swap involving the Gage property will take place.

The old police station building on Haverhill Road will also be part of the workshop. That building was originally deeded to the school by the town and used to house preschool students. It can be taken back by the town at any time.
Manor Motel owner Dick Messina will also present concerns to the Board of Selectmen on the N.H. Innkeeper Law.
According to a report earlier this morning by the Eagle Tribune, Messina wants police help to remove non-paying guests, a concern he will present to the board.
Other items on tonight's agenda include a bid award for the financial audit contract, announcements regarding ConvenientMD and Windham Windup Robotics and a request to upgrade to a Content Management system for the town, library and Searles websites.
