Pile of Evidence Reported in Windham Home Invasion

Louis Carvalho was arrested and charged with the crime after a late-night manhunt.

It was April 2012, when Luis Garvalho and a partner backed an SUV into the driveway of a Glance Road home around 12:30 a.m. and proceeded to terrify a 19-year-old woman as she was housesitting for her brother.

Luis Carvalho, 33, of Fourth St. in Taunton, Mass.  was found in hiding in the woods wearing all black. He was charged with burglary, criminal restraint, criminal threatening and disobeying a police officer. His partner was never found following a 4.5-hour manhunt that included police from Londonderry, Pelham, Salem, Hudson and N.H. State Troop B.

Samantha Gervais, who was watching the home, called 911 before she was tied up and otherwise unharmed.

An officer arrived at the home minutes later and the suspects fled. Only Carvalho was found.

According to the Union Leader, the intruders were targeting a safe in the house. A plethora of evidence was compiled including phone records, DNA evidence, and home insulation that was found on Carvalho's body.
