Resident Headed to Democratic National Convention
Kristi St. Laurent will serve as a delegate in September.

The town of Windham will have representation at this year's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., as a local resident will serve as a delegate at the event.
Kristi St. Laurent, the Windham Democratic Committee Chair and a candidate for state representative this year, will head south this September.
She is one of four Windham Democrats running for a representative position.

According to a notice from the WinDems, St. Laurent is the only delegate from New Hampshire's Southern Tier.
Over 5,000 delegates from all 50 states nominate the party nominees for president and vice president.

In 2008, N.H. sent just 22 delegates to the convention in Denver, Colo.
The 2012 DNC will take place at Time Warner Cable Arena from Sept. 3-5 and Bank of America Stadium on Sept. 6.
As part of her trip, St. Laurent will have a fundraiser on July 6 at Lucia's Bodega.
The wine tasting event will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A $20 door donation for atendees will go directly to her Charlotte trip.
