Sapareto Announces Steering Committee
The winner of the GOP senate primary will face off against Kristi St. Laurent of Windham.
Frank Sapareto, a Republican from Derry running for state Senate District 19, announced his campaign steering committee June 16.
The committee consists of:
- Tom Cardon – Town Councilor, Derry
- Kevin Coyle – Rockingham County Commissioner, Former Town Councilor, Derry
- Ed Gallagher – Former Windham School Board Chairman, Windham
- Kevin Hughes – Attorney, Windham
- Al Letizio – Selectman, Business Owner, Windham
- Neal Ochs – Chairman, Derry School Board, Derry
- Sandy Shapiro – Former Chair of Derry Taxpayers’ Association, Derry
District 19 represents Derry, Hampstead and Windham in the state Senate.

It is an open seat, as Sen. Jim Rausch, R-Derry, is not running for re-election.
Kristi St. Laurent of Windham is the Democrat in the race. The Republicans are Sapareto, Regina Birdsell of Hampstead, and Jim Foley of Derry.The state primary is Sept. 9.
