The event will take place starting at 11 a.m.

Windham residents can have a look at the first unit of the town's first workforce housing development starting at 11 a.m.

Deacon Place will host an open house at the development's first unit, which is now complete. People will have the chance to step inside and get an idea of what the units will look like.

According to Windham Selectman Phil LoChiatto, who spearheaded the project on behalf of his company – White Water Mountain Design and Development LLC, the development will have 10 units when finished, five of which will be for workforce house.

Each townhouse-style condominium has a fully functional kitchen, living/dining area, master bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet and a second nicely sized bedroom. A laundry room is also in the units, according to the Deacon Place website.

The Windham Planning Board approved the Deacon Place development in April 2012.
