Significant Differences in Bus Routes
The Windham School District released the routes late last week.

A new bus company this year means significant changes in the bus routes for the fall, with details on those routes being released by the Windham School District late last week.
SAU 28 Business Administrator Adam Steel told parents in a letter that the district completed the bus routes in conjunction with the new bus company – Student Transportation of America (STA). He also said that the district has increased the distance between the stops and the homes of some of the children.
He indicated that the maximum distance for students grades six through 12 will be one-half of a mile, while second grade to fifth grade will be 0.3 miles.

Kindergarten students and first graders will still get door to door pickup and drop-off each day.
New buses will also be used by STA, equipped with two cameras inside each bus that provide audio and video recording. That audio recording policy, according to Steel, was adopted by the Windham School Board and can be found here.
