As 2012 winds to a close, I am proud to say that Windham Patch is about to log its first complete year in the books.

Since January, the town has seen a blend of stories. There have been articles of bravery, sorrow, leadership, accomplishment, teamwork, controversy and growth.

5. Home Invaded, DEA Investigates, Victims Arrested

On July 18, four armed hispanic males reportedly invaded a home on Bear Hill Road. The men later fled, and none have been arrested in connection with the crime. Windham Police also said the incident was targeted.

A day later, the Drug Enforcement Administration reportedly got involved with the investigation.

In a twist to the story, three of the victims involved in the home invasion were arrested on various charges. Two were later given six-month suspended sentences.
