Temperatures to Approach 100 in Windham Today?

Here are a handful of items you should probably take with you today.

1. September sizzler! Today's forecast is calling for temperatures typically reserved for July and August around these parts. Patchy fog in the morning will give way to otherwise sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-90s. According to the National Weather Service, heat index values are expected to top 100. A heat advisory has been issued, warning people of the possibility of heat-related illness, especially during the hottest part of the day, between 1 and 6 p.m.

2. Sept. 11 ceremony today. The Windham Fire Department will hold a Sept. 11 Memorial Remembrance Service on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8:30 a.m. at the Windham Fire Department, located at 3 Fellows Road. Light refreshments will be offered following the ceremony.
