Three Sought for Design Review Subcommittee

The Planning Board is looking for 3 interested citizens to serve on the newly established Design Review Subcommittee.  The role of this Subcommittee it to review Planning Board applications for conformance with the Design Review Regulations and provide guidance and recommendations on these applications to the Planning Board. 

The Design Review Regulations are for commercial development in the Gateway Commercial District, Neighborhood Business District, and the Professional, Business and Technology Districts.  The adopted Regulations are available on the Town web site, Community Development web page, at www.windhamnewhampshire.com.

The Subcommittee will consist of a total of 5 members (Town residents) and be appointed for 3-year staggered terms. The Planning Board is looking for members with expertise in the following areas: architecture design, landscape architecture, horticulture, historic preservation, commercial construction, engineering, commercial real estate, land use planning, and/or another related areas. 

If you are interested in being considered for appointment to the Subcommittee, please submit a letter of interest to Laura Scott, Community Development Director at lscott@windhamnewhampshire.com or PB Box 120 by noon on Friday August 10^th.  The Board will be interviewing interested candidates on August 15^th at their Planning Board meeting.
