Independence Day is fast approaching in Windham, and before July 4 comes, the town's annual fireworks celebration will be held today.According to Recreation Coordinator Cheryl Haas, the fireworks will take place at Windham High School at 9:15 p.m.At 7 p.m., the Blues Brothers - the Next Generation Band will perform, co-sponsored by ConvenientMD.The parking lot will open at 5:30 p.m.This afternoon, Griffin Park will host Windham's annual Town Day from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.Windham's community band will perform, and there will be a free barbecue and games for the kids.
