Urgent Care Center to Begin Taking Patients

Windham residents and town officials came out to a grand opening of the new facility on Wednesday.

After months of preparation, ConvenientMD Urgent Care in Windham is nearly ready to start taking patients.

According to CEO Max Puyanic, plans are to begin taking patients today, although state licensing could delay the opening a few days.

Residents and town officials were invited to check out Puyanic's state-of-the-art digs, which he said is just the first of many planned in New Hampshire.

"This is our flagship location," he said. "We have a world class medical team here."

When the urgent care center does open, five doctors will be on staff.

As previously reported on Windham Patch, many of the physicians come from decorated backgrounds. Puyanic said that all of the nurses also have experience in emergency room settings.

At start-up, ConvenientMD is offering free flu shots with health insurance and sports physical vouchers for students. A basic visit at the center is $100, with a flat rate of $50 for lab work and $50 for X-ray's.

"The intention is that if someone walks in and needs a lot of lab work done it's $50."

Nurses and doctors were available at the open house to give tours of the building to the public.
