
A strong run through the Division II girls basketball state tournament ended for the no. 3-seeded Jaguars Monday as they fell to the Portsmouth Clippers 47-41 at Southern New Hampshire University.
Windham's loss follows back-to-back dominant wins over no. 14 Souhegan and no. 11 Pelham. Portsmouth will advance to the state championship Friday to take on top-seeded Lebanon. Portsmouth is the no. 2 seed in the tournament.
According to the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association website, Alicia Brown and Devon Parker led the scoring for the Clippers with 17 and 15 points respectively.

Pacing Windham was Amanda Schiebel, who scored 13. Bernadette Connors pitched in with 11.
The Jaguars lost just four games during the regular season as the team finished with a record of 14-4. Lebanon screamed through the regular season with an undefeated 18-0 record while Portsmouth finished at 15-3.
