Will Windham Spray for Mosquitoes?
Selectmen will consider a request at their next meeting.

The Windham Board of Selectmen will consider a request to authorize spraying for mosquitoes at recreational fields. The request, which is on the board's agenda for Monday night, comes after West Nile Virus was found in mosquitoes in nearby Pelham.
WMUR reported mosquitoes in Sandown also tested positive for West Nile Virus, and that town began spraying.
The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that the state's first 2013 case of West Nile Virus was found in mosquitoes in Salem.
DHHS tips for protecting oneself from mosquito bites include use of insect repellent, with DEET, wearing long pants and shirts when outside during the evening, and eliminating standing water on one's property where mosquitoes can breed.
The Windham Board of Selectmen meeting Aug. 12 is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
