Windham Firefighters Battle Derry Blaze
A three-story wood frame building caught fire on June 20.

Windham firefighters provided assistance and equipment at a three-story blaze in Derry that took place on June 20.
According to a release from the Derry Fire Department, the fire was first reported just after 1 p.m. at 4 Orchard View Drive. The building sustained heavy damages to all of its floors along with the roof.
Personnel at the scene used multiple hand lines to extinguish the first on the first, second and third floor of the building, along with the attic space.

Windham was joined at the scene by Londonderry, Auburn, Hampstead and Chester units. Due to the sweltering heat, the Salvation Army was also called in to provide hydration to the firefighters.

No Windham firefighters were injured at the scene, but three Derry firefighters received non-life threatening injuries. They were treated and transported to a local hospital for evaluation and later released.
The fire is still under investigation by Derry FD.
