Windham High School Alum Selected for Television Academy Internship in Hollywood
Stephanie Wan Amongst 40 Students Chosen Nationwide by Television Academy Foundation for Program

Windham High School alumna Stephanie Wan has been selected for the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program. She is one of 40 students chosen by Television Academy members from across the country for the 2025 Summer Internship program. The Foundation offers paid internships at top Hollywood studios and production companies annually to college students nationwide.
Wan will be a senior this fall at Chapman University majoring in creative producing with a minor in business administration. She will be a production management intern this summer at Asteria, an artist-led generative AI film and animation studio, through the Foundation’s program.
“I am absolutely honored and feel so lucky that I get this opportunity to learn from the Television Academy and its members,” said Wan. “If you told freshman me, who wanted so badly to work in television and apply for this internship program but was too scared that I wouldn’t ever be good enough to get it, that I would have this opportunity now, she would literally scream in excitement (which I did when I found out I got this internship). I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to finally get started.
“What excites me the most about this internship is the ability to gain both real world experience working in production management at a production company as well as getting access to Television Academy resources and workshops to help me further my knowledge and understanding of what it is like working in the industry,” said Wan.

“When I was younger, watching my favorite Disney Channel shows or PBS children’s programming was what made everything melt away — all my anxiousness and stress were gone when I could just enjoy fun stories that made me smile or laugh,” continued Wan. “Television has always been my safe place. And more than that, television taught me who I wanted to be when I grew older; someone brave, confident and kind. It is because of how much television taught and shaped me as a person that I want to work in TV and work on shows that shape the next generation.”
Originally from Windham, New Hampshire, Wan attended Windham High School.
