The run took place on Wednesday.
Two local officers were happy to carry the torch Wednesday as the Windham Police Department participated in the 2013 Special Olympics Torch Run.
Officers Greg Iworsky and Chris Van Hirtum were escorted by two New Hampshire State Police motorcycles as they ran the length of Route 28 from Salem to the Derry town line, according to Police Chief Gerald Lewis.
