The garage, the reporting officer noted, had posted signs saying that skateboarding is not allowed in the garage.

As the officers rode into the garage to approach the four subjects, three were standing there not riding but one, Rucker, was standing on his board in a parking space. One officer told him to get off his board and Rucker allegedly said, “No wait,” and “continued ride hopping on his board one time as he rode in front of me,” according to the report.

Both officers again told Rucker to get off the board but he allegedly said “wait” again and continued to ride, hopping onto the edge of the curb within about a foot of one of the officers.

“(The officer) grabbed onto Rucker to keep them both from falling,” the report alleged.

When asked why he didn’t stop, Rucker allegedly said the skateboarding was his “passion” and he had to do it. He was then issued a summons and is due in court on Sept. 16. Later, all four left the garage.
