Windham Girls Basketball Play in State Semifinal Tonight
The girls' basketball game tips off at 5:30 p.m.

In 2011, the Windham High School girls basketball team, without a senior on the roster, traveled to Portsmouth and upset the host Clippers in the playoffs.
Last year, the Lady Jaguars reached the state semifinals only to fall two-points short of reaching the D-II championship.
Portsmouth, on the other hand, lost in the 2012 quarterfinals to Lebanon.

Tonight, the familiar foes meet for the chance to play for this year's state championship when they tip off at 5:30 at Southern New Hampshire University.
PHS fell to Windham in the teams' lone contest this season, 59-55, at Portsmouth on Feb. 13.

To get to this game, Portsmouth earned a 15-3 regular season record to clinch the playoff No. 2 seed. The Lady Clippers defeated Oyster River, 55-34, in the first round and then held of No. 10 Merrimack Valley, 56-49, on Friday, March 1.
On the other bench, 14-4 Windham garnered the third seed and stomped Souhegan, 62-40, in the first round and then handled rival Pelham, 51-36, Friday night.
The victor earns a 7 p.m. championship date Friday night with the winner of No. 1 Windham vs. No. 4 Milford. For a complete look at the bracket, click here.
