Woman Indicted for Felony Drug Possession

Cheryl O'Brien also faces three misdemeanor charges.

A Windham woman charged with felony possession of Oxycodone and three Class A misdemeanors is scheduled to go to trial.

Cheryl O'Brien, 48, of 17 Glance Road was recently indicted on June 20, meaning that a grand jury reviewed evidence in the case and determined that a trial was warranted.

According to Hillsborough Superior Court documents, police charged O'Brien with Class B felony possession of four pills containing the controlled drug Ocycodone. Police said that O'Brien also had marijuana on her at the time, bringing about a possession misdemeanor.

The incident took place on April 17 in Nashua.

O'Brien is also being charged with disobeying a police officer. According to police, while driving a motor vehicle, O'Brien purposely gave the name of her sister, Mary Ellen O'Brien.

O'Brien was also operating with a suspended license during the incident, bringing about an operating after suspension misdemeanor charge.

If convicted, O'Brien could face between three-and-a-half to seven years in state prison and a $25,000 fine. She could also face 12 months in a correctional facility and a $2,000 fine for each misdemeanor.

A trial date had not yet been set.
