• Early morning fire guts condo complex in Absecon, New Jersey (nbcphiladelphia.com) — An early morning fire severely damaged a two-story condo complex on the 100 block of Waterview Drive in Absecon, with firefighters working for hours to knock down the flames. Officials have not yet said whether anyone was hurt, displaced, or how the blaze started, and more details are expected as the investigation continues.
   

• NJ's Holiday DUI Enforcement Starts Now in These Local Towns (wobm.com) — Absecon drivers should expect stepped-up DUI patrols and checkpoints after the town received state funding as part of New Jersey’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” holiday crackdown. Running through January 1, the campaign targets impaired drivers during a period when alcohol-related crashes and deaths historically spike across the state, including in Atlantic County communities.
