A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in New Jersey and pulled in Saturday night's drawing, while two tickets in Missouri and Texas matched all five white balls and the Power Ball to split a nearly $1.8 billion jackpot, NJ lottery officials said. Additionally, 16 in New Jersey won $50,000 or more in the drawing.

The winning $1 million ticket was sold at XPress Food Mart at 2505 Woodlynne Avenue in Camden County and matched all five balls, officials said. The ticket did not hit the Power Ball.

The winning numbers for Saturday’s drawing were 11, 23, 44, 61 and 62. The Power Ball was 17 and the multiplier was 02.

At $1.787 billion, the jackpot was the second largest in U.S. lottery history, officials said, only falling behind the world-record $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot won on Nov. 7, 2022, in California. The cash value of the prize was an estimated $820.6 million.

In addition to the two jackpot winners and the $1 million ticket sold in Camden County, 16 other New Jersey players also took home prizes in Saturday’s drawing, officials said.

Five New Jersey players took home prizes of $100,000 each, while 11 players won $50,000 each from Sussex County at the top of the state, all the way down to Cape May County.

“Congratulations to the players in Texas and Missouri,” NJ Lottery Director James Carey said. “This has been an incredible run. All the while, I’ve been hearing from people in our state who are overjoyed at winning $1 million, $100,000 and $50,000 prizes.”

The jackpot now resets to $20 million. The NJ Lottery will run its “The Jackpot Was Hit!” promotion through Saturday, Sept. 13, in which players who buy three plays on a single ticket will receive one free $2 play on a following ticket.
