Recent data from the American Christmas Tree Association’s 2025 Consumer Report shows 83 percent of households that plan to display a Christmas tree this season will choose an artificial one. Only 17 percent will opt for a live tree, reflecting a consistent preference seen for more than a decade.

"The survey results reinforce broader retail trends showing steady demand for artificial trees despite economic uncertainty and potential tariff impacts. ACTA encourages consumers to select the tree that best fits their needs and to prioritize safety and enjoyment throughout the holiday season," according to the ACTA.
