Snow, Ice, Gale Force Winds Head To NJ In Weekend Storm
Ice, snow, gale force winds and minor flooding are all possible across the Garden State with the latest storm this weekend.

NEW JERSEY — Up to 5 inches of snow, ice accumulations, 2 inches of rain and up to 60 mph wind gusts are all possible across New Jersey this weekend as the latest winter storm hits the area, according to the latest forecast.
Winter Weather Advisories will be in effect from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday in Hunterdon and Somerset counties, until 1 a.m. Sunday in Warren County and until 4 a.m. in Sussex and Morris counties.
Around 1 p.m. Saturday snow will begin in Central and North Jersey, with a wintry mix in the south, according to the National Weather Service.

Within the advisory areas, 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected, with possibly up to 5 inches locally, National Weather Service forecasters said. This area could also see 0.1 inches of ice.
Statewide, we could see rainfall of 1 to 2 inches, though this includes the liquid equivalent to frozen precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
Periods of rain continue through Sunday. While New Jersey is still experiencing drought conditions and a lack of significant rain, flooding isn't likely, but some minor, "nuisance" flooding is possible, National Weather Service forecasters said.
Things will get very windy by Sunday evening as the storm moves out of the state, with gusts ranging from 45 to 60 mph possible, forecasters said. Strongest winds will be in higher elevations and along the coast. Again, this could cause power outages and tree damage.
