5 Inches Of Snow Fell Here In The Garden State
A powerful storm system crossed the US Northeast on Monday, bringing rain and snow to parts of the region.
NEW JERSEY — Despite the winter solstice being on Dec. 21, New Jersey already got a taste of winter weather this week as a storm swept over the region from early Sunday through Monday morning.
While the majority of the state received a few inches of rain, a surge of cold air arrived at the tail end of the storm on Sunday night, changing the rain into snowfall in northwest New Jersey.
According to reports from the National Weather Service, more than 5 inches of snow fell in the early hours of Monday morning at High Point State Park in Sussex County.
