16 NJ Counties Under Weather Advisories, Power Outages Possible
Wind Advisories have been issued in 16 counties through Tuesday afternoon with damaging gusts of up to 50 mph threatening power outages.
Much of New Jersey is under a wind advisory through Tuesday as gusts of up to 50 mph threaten to knock down trees and cause power outages, according to the latest forecast.
Sixteen counties are expected to see winds of 20 mph to 30 mph and gusts of 45 mph to 50 mph Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
These winds could knock down tree limbs and result in power outages.

A Dense Fog Advisory is also in effect through 12 p.m. Monday in North Jersey.
Temperatures will warm Monday into the low-mid 50s, according to National Weather Service forecasters. However, a cold front moves early Monday afternoon, bringing some showers and cooling things back down.

"After the showers depart and the cold front comes through, some cloud clearing is expected, but temperatures will rapidly drop into the 30s," the National Weather Service said. This is when strong winds will pick up, according to forecasters.
The temperatures will not plunge to as frigid as earlier this month, but the week will be very cold. Tuesday will see highs in the low-mid 30s. Strong winds continue until the afternoon.
Some snow is expected on New Year's Eve, according to the National Weather Service, but not much.
Things should stay dry through Friday.
