Salmonella can lead to serious or fatal infections.

NEW JERSEY — An Edison-based importer and distributor of ethnic foods issued recalls for dozens of products after positive tests for Salmonella, the United States Food and Drug Administration said.

Chetak LLC added more Deep-branded frozen vegetable and fruit items on Sept. 8 to their list of flagged products following their initial voluntary recall on July 16. The items were packaged in flexible plastic bags with a lot number and "use by" dates on the back.

The bags were distributed nationwide, and manufactured between Dec. 18, 2024 and Aug. 18.
