10 Inches Of Snow Forecast For Parts Of NJ; Winter Storm Watch Issued
Sunday's snowfall across New Jersey will bring with it dangerously cold temperatures for the next week.

NEW JERSEY — Parts of New Jersey could see up to 10 inches of snow in a winter storm Sunday, according to the latest forecast.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday in Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Union, Sussex, Morris, Warren and Hunterdon counties, with snow totals in these areas forecasted to be between 6 to 10 inches.
Interior Central Jersey could see 4 to 6 inches of snow, and the snowfall totals decrease as you head closer to the coast as rain mixes with snow. South Jersey is expected to see 1 to 2 inches.

Snow could begin falling as early as Sunday morning and is expected to last through the evening. This snow could be heavy at times, with rates of more than 1 inch per hour possible.
Snow-covered and slippery roads are possible, AccuWeather forecasters said, and the private weather company warned that even a small amount of snow could cause "significant delays."

By the time the storm ends, though, we will be entering another period of frigid temperatures - "by far the coldest airmass so far this season," the National Weather Service said. Highs will only be in the teens Tuesday and Wednesday, and if there is enough snowpack on the ground, South Jersey may actually see subzero temperatures.
