Storm Dumps 8+ Inches Of Snow In NJ: See Town-By-Town Totals

The weekend storm overperformed in many areas, causing accidents on the road and leaving thousands powerless.

More than 8 inches of snow fell in some parts of New Jersey over the weekend as much of the state received its first measurable snowfall of the year.

The storm caused thousands to lose power as well, peaking at more than 19,000 homes without power Sunday.

As of Monday morning, that number had gone down significantly. Atlantic City Electric reported 145 active outages, PSE&G reported 46 active outages and JCP&L reported that 227 customers had no power.

The National Weather Service had predicted 1 to 5 inches of snow in many places. But the storm overperformed, with some areas getting 6 to 8 inches.

Central Jersey got the most snow, with Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties topping out the list.
