ANCHOR, Senior Freeze Property Tax Filing Events Planned In NJ

In-person help is available to residents applying for ANCHOR, seniors seeking property tax relief, and more.

While most residents had their NJ ANCHOR tax rebate applications filed for them automatically, some eligible applicants still need to file themselves. The NJ Division of Taxation is offering Property Tax Relief Public Events across the state from now until the end of October.

These free events offer in-person assistance with tax relief services, including the ANCHOR program. Seniors can also get help with the PAS-1 tax relief form, a combined application that allows eligible people 65 years and older to claim benefits from Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and the new Stay NJ Program. Those seeking help with their PAS-1 form should refer to this checklist before attending a property tax relief event.

Attendees who are under 65 years old and do not collect social security disability benefits need to bring a valid photo ID, officials said.
