Thanksgiving Snow In Old Farmer's Almanac’s Travel Forecast: See NJ’s Early Prediction
Parts of the country might see snowflakes for Thanksgiving, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. Here's what's forecast in NJ:
A cold, crisp Thanksgiving is in store for New Jersey, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
The publication, known for its long-range weather forecasts, recently released their Thanksgiving travel forecast for 2025.
A "patchwork of weather" is expected across the U.S. for Thanksgiving, the publication said. Rainy conditions will be in the western half of the country, while much of the east should see sunny skies.

The northeast region could see some snowflakes, but that's only in the furthest north points, according to the forecast.
The more southern areas of the northeast - which includes New Jersey - should "enjoy a crisp, sunny Thanksgiving," the Old Farmer's Almanac said.

Their forecast map shows part of the Garden State experiencing "cool, chilly" temperatures while the rest of the state can expect "varying" temps, meaning they could be cool, then mild.
"Good news for morning parades and holiday walks, but drivers up north should be prepared!" the publication said.
Thanksgiving week is the busiest travel period in the country, according to experts. In 2024, AAA predicted that nearly 80 million people would travel more than 50 miles for the holiday. An updated estimate for 2025 has not been released yet.
The Old Farmer's Almanac added a reminder that long-range forecasts are "perfect for planning" but not a substitute for daily forecasts.
