Halloween is still more than a month away, but there are plenty of places around New Jersey offering seasonal frights.

Booooo-mfield 5K

• Date: Saturday, Oct. 18
• Location: Start/Finish at 23 Skidoo Café (Bloomfield, NJ)
• Details: Take part in Trials of Miles Racing, Bloomfield Township and Essex’s Count Boooo-mfield 5K, a Halloween-themed run which benefits Friends of Watsessing Park Conservancy and Bloomfield High School Cross Country & Track and Field teams.

Boo At The Boardwalk

• Date: Oct. 18-19, 25-26
• Location: Jenkinson’s Boardwalk (300 Ocean Ave., Point Pleasant Beach)
• Details: Join Jenkinson’s Boardwalk for some Halloween fun for the entire family with kiddie rides, face painting, trick-or-treating and more.

Ocean City Halloween Parade

• Date: Thursday, Oct. 30
• Location: 6th Street & Asbury Avenue

Fright Fest
