Heavy Snow Showers Moving Into North Jersey, National Weather Service Says
The flying flakes are expected to diminish over the course of the day Thursday.

Frigid winds, flying flakes and iced roadways have featured heavily in the north Jersey forecast this week, and Thursday will see some of the heaviest concentration of winter weather this season, according to forecasters.
Thursday will see locally heavy snow showers moving from the Poconos into northern New Jersey, the National Weather Service Station in Mt. Holly said. Forecasters noted that the snow showers would "dwindle in coverage and intensity as the day wears on."
On Monday the arriving polar vortex brought wind chill factors in the teens, making for what the forecasters called a bitter, raw day. The blustery winds stayed through Wednesday in the range of 25 mph to 30 mph. Temperatures were slightly warmer, with highs in the 40s to low-50s. Things will be closer to normal November temperatures as we head into the weekend. It will get the warmest on Sunday, though there will also be a chance of rain.
