Nestlé Recalls Edible Cookie Dough In NJ Due To Potential Plastics
Nestlé voluntarily recalled batches of the cookie dough after a "small number" of consumer complaints about plastic, the FDA said.

NEW JERSEY - Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall of its popular edible cookie dough due to potential soft plastic film contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall only affects three batches of Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough tubs that were produced from Aug. 1 to 3 and were distributed to retailers nationwide, the FDA said in a Nov. 3 statement. The recall doesn’t involve any other Nestlé products, including ready-to-bake cookie dough or other varieties of edible cookie dough.
The affected batch codes are 22135554RR, 22145554RR and 22155554RR with corresponding Best By dates from Jan. 28 to 30, 2023.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported so far, the FDA said. However, a “small number” of customers have contacted Nestlé about the issue, which prompted the voluntary recall.
Those who purchased the affected batches should not eat the product and instead should return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a replacement or refund.
