New Storm Wednesday Brings Snow, Ice To NJ: Latest Forecast
After several inches of snow have fallen across the state, a second round of storms will bring a wintry mix and freezing rain.

NEW JERSEY — Parts of the Garden State are covered in several inches of snow Wednesday as we gear up for a second round of storms this evening, according to the latest forecast.
The highest snowfall totals are in Atlantic (Galloway) and Cape May counties (Lower Township), which both saw 8 inches of snow, according to the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network.
National Weather Service forecasters said that "a somewhat challenging forecast remains into Thursday as one storm continues to depart early this morning with a lull in the main precipitation. The next storm arrives later this afternoon and especially tonight."

There may be some flurries throughout the day Wednesday, but nothing substantial until later in the afternoon and evening.
Wednesday night is when more snow moves in up north, changing to a wintry mix, according to forecasters. In the rest of the state, it will be warm enough that precipitation will be just rain. North Jersey could see a dusting to 1 inch of snow, along with a light glaze of ice.

Winter Weather Advisories will go into effect at 7 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, western Passaic and western Bergen counties through 9 a.m. Thursday. Roads could become slippery and the Thursday morning commute could be dangerous, National Weather Service forecasters warn.
Things will dry out later Thursday. Then, we'll see a break for a bit before another system moves in over the weekend, bringing some light wintry mix and rain to the state again, according to the National Weather Service.
