A new study looked at habits across the United States to identify the states where customers are tipping the least in 2025.
When it comes to tipping, a new ranking discovered that New Jerseyans aren't as generous as residents in most other U.S. states.
A recent study by payment processing company BLogic Systems analyzed tipping habits across the United States to identify the states where customers are tipping the least in 2025. The research focused on the wages of both customers and waitstaff, as well as the average tips and the tipping fatigue score.
The final ranking is based on the generosity index, which reflects the public sentiment of residents in each state towards tipping.
