NEW JERSEY — A new analysis has revealed that New Jerseyans are more likely than residents of other states to enjoy living a life of luxury.

A recent study by gaming website Slot.Day analyzed key luxury indicators for all U.S. states to identify the ones where people are most into luxury living.

The research takes into account the share of millionaire households, billionaire rate, luxury cars and homes, as well as searches for luxury brands. The states were then ranked based on a final score calculated from the key indicators.

In the end, New Jersey came in at No. 6 on the list of states where people are most into luxury living.

According to the analysis, New Jersey is home to 5 billionaires and just over 7 percent of Garden State households can claim millionaire status. Luxury real estate in New Jersey costs $857,039 on average and there are 3,790 fancy houses for sale in the state.

Other interesting findings from the study included the number of monthly Google searches for luxury items. According to the analysis, New Jersey recorded 40,860 searches for "Lamborghini for sale," more than 99,000 searches for Louis Vuitton bags and 56,150 searches for available Rolex watches.

On the other hand, these 10 states aren't so interested in luxury living:

  9. Nebraska
  10. New Mexico
